The man filmed beating a goat to death in
Mpumalanga has been arrested and
charged with animal cruelty.
Identified as Sipho Makamu (26), the man
appeared in the Malelane Magistrate’s Court
yesterday following his arrest at his home in
Mzinti on Tuesday, according to Lowvelder .
Shocking video footage uploaded on YouTube
shows Makamu hitting and slapping a goat.

Speaking in siSwati, Makamu was believed to
have asked the goat what it was doing on his
property and says that he is going to hit the
animal.
The footage had gone viral on social media,
with many condemning the accused’s actions.
